AOK.

tl;dr: I’m going to be just fine.

To get straight to the point, my surgery was successful, the team at Yale Cancer Hospital was amazing, and the tumor tested negative for cancer. Phew. Best birthday present ever.

I just want to thank everyone who reached out to offer me well wishes and to those who shared their own stories. People go through much, and it is truly humbling to hear. And not in that bullshit LinkedIn version of the term.

It truly made an enormous difference over the past few days. So, thank you all again.

I tried to reply to everyone, but it’s possible that amidst the fog of anesthesia and pain pills, I may have missed you. If I did, please don’t take it personally. I’m not ghosting anyone on purpose, and I am working diligently through emails, texts, and LI messages to try and catch up.

I’m not quite feeling up to a full Off Kilter just yet. Unfortunately, my recovery will take a bit longer than anticipated, but I have something cooking to cap off a recent theme that I think you’ll enjoy next week.

So, I’m signing off a very happy, if equally swollen, author of mostly silly things about brands, businesses, and other related stuff.
